BOARD OF
DIRECTORS
Dr Hoan, co-founder of the Group, graduated from
Nanyang University in 1975 with a Bachelor’s
Degree in History. Her phenomenal journey to
entrepreneurial success started the day she came
to know and enkindled a passion for direct selling
30 years ago. During this period, she furthered
her studies and graduated with an MBA and PhD in
Business Administration in her passionate drive to
excel and succeed in this business. Today, Dr Hoan is
widely recognised as an acclaimed entrepreneur and
accomplished leader in the business feld. As Group
CEO, her expertise in direct selling and visionary
strategic thinking has dramatically scaled Best World
froma home-grown business into an established Asian
enterprise listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
Despite her many successes, Dr Hoan continues to
invest a large amount of effort overseeing and leading
the Group’s management and business development
direction to drive the Group’s strategic vision and
plans for global expansion.
With the same entrepreneurial spirit, Dr Hoan
also assumes active leadership roles in various
associations and grassroots organisations. During
her tenure as President of the Association of Small
and Medium Enterprises (ASME), she collaborated
with Chinese newspaper Lianhe Zaobao to initiate
the Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA). Dr
Hoan was also the recipient of many entrepreneur
awards including the ASEAN Outstanding Woman
Entrepreneur award in June 2008. She was most
recently appointed as Chairperson of Association
Services Committee for the World Federation of Direct
Selling Association (WFDSA) for the period starting
from 2011 till 2014.
Dr Tan, co-founder of the Group, joined the beauty
care industry when she was barely 18 years old. Since
then, her personal and professional life has fourished
in both the felds of aesthetics and direct selling.
At Best World, Dr Tan heads the Group’s product
development. She also imparts her professional
knowledge by personally conducting seminar
trainings and counselling services for the Group’s
regional distributors. With her 30 years of clinical
experience in both beauty care and nutritional health,
Dr Tan is a strong advocate of Best World’s “Life
Harmony” philosophy that outlines her frm belief in
the importance of developing quality products and
services to help more people around the world achieve
holistic health and wellness.
Dr Tan holds a degree in Applied Nutrition from the
American Academy of Nutrition and an Honorary PhD
from Kennedy Western University, USA. More recently,
she earned her Doctorate Degree in Naturopathy
from Canyon College, USA, in 2010, as part of her
continuous effort to stay abreast of the latest scientifc
developments in the feld of holistic health and
wellness. Her extensive knowledge in nutrition and
dermatology, combined with her deep understanding
of consumers’ needs, has undoubtedly led her to serve
as the Group’s key product specialist.
